Recommendations

Bernard D. Mendoza

Senior Director of Revenue Operations at Informatica

January 26, 2022, Bernard managed Andrea directly

During my tenure as the Global Deal Desk Director, I was fortunate to have Andrea join our team and immediately make a significant contribution with a very short onboarding and training time. Andrea immediately stepped in and mastered complex deals and took initiative to handle even the newest acquired account deals. Andrea Tai was part of the Global Renewals Deal Desk team during a busy and challenging period where we were transitioning applications, systems, and processes. Even with this pressure, Andrea was able to perform at a high level which demonstrates the high potential she has in a high paced technology environment. I would definitely recommend Andrea again for challenging roles in the future.

George Chu

Director of Sales and Business Development at Poindus Systems Corporation

February 5, 2021, George was senior to Andrea but didn't manage directly

Andrea is fast learner with a positive attitude. Able to understand goals and strategies and good at research and execution. Andrea would be a valuable addition to any organization’s sales and marketing operation.

Sherene Victor

Software Engineer at Google

August 1, 2020, Sherene and Andrea were students together

Andrea has been a passionate and thorough employee in all her past jobs. I've had the chance to see how she pours into her teammates and the work she does during her time at Santa Clara University. She goes beyond merely completing the job and truly delivers results with much deeper value. I have been in awe of how she is able to start novel programs on campus while also completely reimagining existing programs. So many of her roles on campus revolved around engagement, marketing, and management, all of which Andrea is able to draw from in various capacities to aptly meet specific goals. I'm excited to see what she'll work on next and the great things she'll do on future teams!

Mika Philip

Senior Advanced App Engineer Analyst at Accenture

July 23, 2020, Mika and Andrea were students together

Andrea Tai has often proven her capability to take on multiple projects simultaneously, and she can pull them off because of her excellent memory, her creative problem-solving skills, and ability to understand the consumer/audience. An excellent example that I have witnessed her leadership was when she was on the TEDx board. On top of marketing the experience that comes from a TEDx talk for 600+ people at Santa Clara University, she wrangled and coordinated volunteers like me to help ensure the event went smoothly and that the audience was engaged the entire time. In addition, Andrea has shown savvy in social media and whatever is trending in Silicon Valley. I follow her food blog that has accrued more than 5k followers and seen that she consistently posts relevant content to ensure follower retention. She also goes the extra mile by staying up-to-date on the latest technology news and trends, despite not having a major in the STEM field.

Brian Birney

Senior Director of Sales Operations, Global Pricing Team at CommScope

August 21, 2019, Brian managed Andrea directly

Andrea worked for me as a summer intern after her sophomore year, in 2018. We rarely extend internships to sophomores, but Andrea impressed us during the interview process, and continued to do so after we hired her. She was able to quickly assimilate into the environment and become productive. Her primary focus was helping various team members with data-related projects, working in Excel as well as Salesforce.com. She had the intellect to learn quickly, the maturity to work independently, and the disposition to positively engage both peers and management. Everyone enjoyed working with her, and we were sorry to see her internship end. She was a fantastic addition to the team and we would happily have her back.

Lisa Chaney

Sr. Manager Sales Enablement Technology at Commscope

August 20, 2019, Lisa was senior to Andrea but didn’t manage directly

Andrea is an excellent detailed and focused team member. She makes a priority to make sure that her customers come first and she invests in understanding the business processes she supports, and goals of a given project she is assigned. Her willingness to go above and beyond to satisfy the task at hand is always evident. Her attention to detail allows herself and team be successful. I can truly say that working with Andrea was Awesome and she was a great team member during her Summer internship at Ruckus Wireless.
